Recognise Gym’s as Essential in the fight against Covid-19 during a lockdown.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We are demanding that the government reconsiders its views on Gym’s being ‘none essential’ when the data suggests the benefits outweigh the risks. We are part of the solution, and not the problem.
The data suggests that the benefits and results obtained by gym users, far outweighs the risks of contracting and transmitting covid-19.

The transmission rate in gyms was proven to be the second lowest of the industries in the UK.

What image are we putting out there when gyms are deemed a danger?

Gyms increase physical ability, and help massively with mental health.

Please, reconsider making gyms an essential part of the battle against COVID-19 and allow us to relieve pressure on the NHS
