Stop indoor leisure facilities closing during the national lock down
Rejected

What the petition asks
Allow indoor leisure facilities to remain open during the 2nd national lock down
Sports and physical activity are incredibly important for our physical and mental health, and are a vital weapon against coronavirus. That’s why people could exercise at least once a day even during the height of lock down.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Since you started your petition, the national lockdown has ended. Under the local restriction tiers introduced on 2 December, indoor sports and leisure facilities can remain open, but with restrictions on group activities in the highest tier (tier 3).

You could start a new petition calling for changes to the current tiered restrictions, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
