Supervised Group Outdoor Yoga to be Allowed During All COVID-19 Alert Levels

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Isolation is essential to the Government’s strategy for fighting coronavirus and UK citizens must remain healthy during lockdown whilst adhering to social distancing measures. To support this, the Government should allow supervised socially distanced outdoor yoga classes for health and wellbeing.
Yoga is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains (including lower back pain), depression and stress - it’s a natural form of anxiety relief. Adhering to social distancing rules can be achieved during a supervised outdoor yoga class; these classes are crucial for mental health and wellbeing.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The national lockdown in England ended on 2 December. Under the new local restriction tiers, organised outdoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes can continue. See:

If there are specific changes you would like to see made to the new tier system, you could start a new petition calling for those changes.
