What the petition asks

The government has just announced a new 4 week lockdown to start from Thursday 5 November, this includes a ban on communal worship. Government or Parliament should allow communal worship at places of worship during the lockdown.

It is baffling why services at places of worship are banned while schools and colleges are staying open. Many places of worship have one of the best social distancing practises - churches have put a great deal of effort into coronavirus measures for worshipers, there is simply no evidence to warrant this ban on public worship. At this difficult times, a lot of people turn to religion to maintain to maintain their sanity. Government / Parliament should reconsider this ban.

Why it was rejected
