Allow self-employed the same right as everyone else that is furloughed - 80% pay

What the petition asks
With them the new lockdown on the arisen, and people being furloughed with 80% pay. Allow the self-employed to claim the same instead of the 40% quoted now! They still have to pay bills, they still have mortgages and rent on buildings!
This isn’t fair for the self-employed to suffer. A lot of the country as we know is self-employed. And it is only fair. Discrimination at its finest!
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started your petition the Government has extended the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme grant so that it covers a 3 month period from 1 November 2020 until 31 January 2021, for which the Government will provide a taxable grant calculated at 80% of 3 months average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single installment and capped at £7,500 in total: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/self-employment-income-support-scheme-grant-extension/self-employment-income-support-scheme-grant-extension
