Implement a safety net policy for the 2020/21 academic year
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
Encourage universities to implement a safety net policy once again this academic year due to the coronavirus pandemic and the vast amount of education being received online.
It is important for students to receive the grades they deserve. Students are now at a disadvantage with libraries being closed or limited, especially those who do not respond well to online learning. Some students may also be disadvantaged as the majority of exams are no longer taking place and they must rely on coursework.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for universities themselves.
