Allow “off sales” for licensed businesses during lockdown
Rejected
17 signatures
What the petition asks
We need the government to change the ruling during lockdown(s) to allow “off sales” from licensed businesses as it stands businesses are allowed to deliver food but unable to deliver a bottle of beer to wash it down , that would have to be bought from a supermarket forcing you out during a lockdown
In a time when every penny counts in helping the hospitality sector survive I fear there will be lot more businesses going to the wall
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
The new regulations that have been put in place for the current lockdown allow licensed premises to sell alcohol provided this is pre-ordered by the customer: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1200/pdfs/uksi_20201200_en.pdf
