Provide a financial package for students affected by the 2nd lockdown

What the petition asks
The government needs to introduce a financial support package for students who rely on their work to fund their studies but have lost income due to the 2nd coronavirus lockdown and many are not eligible for any current support packages, or universal credit.
Maintenance loans for undergraduate students rarely cover the basic cost of living. For postgraduate students, the singular loan in many cases doesn't even cover tuition leaving nothing for living costs. Students survive on hospitality and self-employed jobs. Most students are newly employed and not eligible for SEISS or furlough. Students are also not eligible for universal credit. Students are being left with no way to pay their rent, bills or food during this 2nd lockdown.
