Include rectopexy mesh patients in the new mesh centres
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
There are currently 7 mesh centres due to open in the country next year in order to assist with mesh complications. While mesh complications affect all types of mesh implant these centres will only be for vaginal implant patients.
We want reconsideration so that rectopexy, other pexy and hernia mesh victims can also access standardised care with these planned centres.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about the treatment of patients, including the establishing of specialist centres for certain treatments, is a matter for NHS England and individual NHS trusts, not the Government or House of Commons.
