Publish a plan for dealing with the driving test backlog

Closed 130 signatures

What the petition asks

The DVSA need to create a comprehensive and realistic plan to address the backlog of driving tests created by the coronavirus lockdowns, and they need to share this plan with those waiting for tests to help ease stress and worry.
Both driving instructors and learners anticipate the day of the driving test weeks in advance, and for those that are test ready and competent to drive it can be extremely frustrating to find that their test has been cancelled or that they can’t book one themselves. Not only is this frustrating, but it restricts the freedoms that they have worked hard to earn - leaving them to depend on parents and miss out on work and social opportunities. This has an uncovered financial cost to everyone.
