What the petition asks

I am asking for it to become a requirement for employers to educate employees about hidden disabilities, especially autism. There is often education surrounding discrimination in the workplace and mental health issues but disability awareness seems to just get brushed under the carpet.

I would like to see increased awareness of autism and other hidden disabilities in the workplace as I feel that it is vital that those working with someone on the spectrum are aware of things that may trigger a meltdown and how to support someone during one. Having colleagues aware could help an ASD employee to feel more welcome and valued in the workplace.
