Pay parents that have to take time off due to school covid closures

At the moment if our children’s schools are closed due to a covid outbreak we aren’t entitled to any SSP, furlough etc creating financial difficulties for parents. I believe seen as schools are to remain open that it is only fair that we receive some type of pay in this situation. It is well known that schools are highly affected by covid and as such many are having to close due to outbreaks. Please promise some help to parents in this situation.
