Allow tennis during lockdown - let the balls fly at a very sociable distance

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Permit tennis in public, private and royal park settings, provided that:
1) all players in any game register all participants' names and emails on an electronically stored and retrievable data device - especially if data managed by an LTA organisation
2) In extremis players wear masks
Tennis offers people from all backgrounds low covid-spread risk, socially distanced exercise opportunities to maintain optimally both physical and mental health. Such contact with other people, forcing mutual care and support makes tennis a preeminent option for supporting community mental health and will also reinforce the spirit and practice of social cohesion which will be most welcome when we go past the covid crisis and need to face up to / embrace the emerging challenge of Brexit Britain.
