Ban fireworks for consumer use due to their damage to animal health/ well-being.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

To regulate the use of fireworks - still allowing them in organized events- as the damage, they cause to animal and human health is not worth the pleasure.
Fireworks cause irreparable damage to animal health and welfare (dogs tremble and cry - clearly petrified by the bangs) with many animals running off and dying because of this every year.
As well, fireworks put huge pressure on the emergency services as there are thousands of fireworks-related injures every year and there are also many fires caused by fireworks. These risks are preventable and greatly reduced in organized events.
No one is trying to stop the fun of New Year's Eve!
