To guarantee the hair/beauty industry will be able to reopen on the 2nd December

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

To guarantee the hair and beauty industry will be able to reopen on the 2nd December and not be forced to close again.
Also our industry should come under essential services.
The hair beauty industry contributed over £7.5bn in turnover to the UK economy in 2017.
The infection rate for our industry is 0.05 most salons have more measures in place than a hospital.
We were labelled retail initially then added to hospitality but got thrown under a bus and labelled close contact when the hospitality sector got a vat reduction.
Too many salons have already had to permanently close their doors.
We are essential to the economy, mental health and many people’s livelihoods.
