Condemn mink farming and work internationally to end the practice

Closed 74 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK government should condemn the mink farming culture in other nations (Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain and the US) and encourage them to end this practice now. Over 17 million mink have been culled in Denmark and that should be the end of this inhumane industry in those nations.
In the wake of the news over the past few days regarding the outbreaks of COVID-19 in mink farms, attention has been drawn once more to the horrors of the fur trade.
Millions of mink can be kept in squalid, crowded conditions - bred solely for the purpose of killing them for fur. In the 21st century this is not a necessity and is a cruel, senseless practice.

We should condemn these actions and encourage our neighbour states to be more progressive with regard to their treatment of animals.
