Free childcare hours for those affected by job losses due to COVID-19 Pandemic

What the petition asks
Temporarily offer a set amount of free childcare hours to support parents affected by job losses and redundancy during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
As a person and parent affected by redundancy, Juggling childcare and interviews for prospective jobs is very challenging. With all involved in securing a new job, research/applications/phone calls/virtual or physical interviews, and managing the needs of young children are not always possible.
Additionally, the cost of childcare is unjustifiable with the loss of an income. The furlough scheme is in place for the employed and I feel childcare should be offered for people looking for work.
