What the petition asks
To make it a legality that all firework displays regardless of where they’re taking place, to be ‘silent’ or ‘low noise’ firework displays.
To prevent the trauma loud fireworks cause to people and animals alike. Those that suffer from sensory issues often struggle during the firework season as it can cause a lot of discomfort and stress. Furthermore, animals also suffer, families lose their beloved pets.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

While some fireworks are marketed as silent, these still make some noise. If you would like the Government to reduce the decibel limit to a specific level, you could start a new petition requesting this.
