Cancel all A-level and GCSE exams in 2021

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Cancel the exams A-level, AS, GCSE because
- 6 month gap out of learning environment (although work set, not all students caught up for many reasons)
- Students with 3 hour lessons struggling with retention
- Mental health caused by ordeal
- Online lessons, not engaging
Students that are affected are struggling for a multitude of reasons. The main reason being the 6 month gap out of education that we had which although students were assigned work to do, many were demotivated or mentally affected by this whole ordeal. As a result, students have been left with a substantial amount of work to catch up on. Causing a lot of anxiety and distress which is leading them to struggle to maintain good grades and therefore, effective exam preparation is lacking.
