Ban the sale of fireworks to the public.

What the petition asks
In the recent years, the number of cases where fireworks have been misused and have often caused injury and trauma to many, specifically pets has increased and more videos on social media are being circulated showing horrific acts of gross misconduct to animal shelters.
The current legislation is not enough anymore and there are no initiatives visible from the government to protect individuals and their pets or institutions / businesses that cater to animals.
The legislation needs to move to a complete ban of public sale and should be left in the hands of professional licensed bodies to do coordinated and controlled fireworks demonstrations.
