To create a central & permanent memorial in Whitehall/Westmisnter.

What the petition asks
To debate the way the people of the United Kingdom have come together to defeat the virus & honour the memory of all including those that lost their lives at this tragic time. To create a permanent memorial in Whitehall / Westminster to honour the sacrifices made & the lives lost during pandemic.
The government should recognise the sacrifices of the people through this tragic time. A fitting memorial & permanent reminder of the lives lost, the NHS & frontline workers & the sacrifices the people in the UK have made through lockdowns would be a fitting tribute where people in the future could pay their respects, remember & reflect.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a matter for Westminster City Council.
