Free NHS IVF treatment for step parents and single people.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Make IVF available on the NHS to people who are step parents but have no biological children of their own, to single people who wish to use donor sperm/surrogate and parents who have an adopted child.
IVF is currently only available to couples who have no biological or adopted children under the age of 42.

i.e if you meet a person with children and become a step parent you are automatically discounted from the option of receiving NHS IVF treatment even if you have no biological children of your own.

In my case I am undergoing investigation for polycystic ovaries and endometriosis having not conceived in 2 years. I am not eligible because my partner has children from a prior relationship
