What the petition asks

Close all educational establishments on 09.12.20 for the Xmas holiday. This will enable families to isolate their children within the family bubble for 14 days prior to Xmas and therefore allow social contact over the Xmas period.

Many emotions are intensified over the Xmas period and following te year the country has endured individuals and families are already suffering enough. By taking this action it will enable families to meet and to celebrate a more 'normal' Xmas, allowing contact with other family members , grandparents etc. This will provide a stimulus for people to continue with necessary restriction and combat many issues of mental health and lonliness felt currently.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
