More than 5,000 voting ballots for elections per polling station in the UK.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Help the British residents and tax payers, originally from, and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to protect their rights to freedom of expression and particularly vote in the Moldovan democratic elections at polling stations in the UK.
It is widely believed by the British-Moldovan community living in the UK that they are not given their democratic rights assured by their home country, Republic of Moldova. Specifically, the issue related to the limited amount of ballot papers available at the polling stations in the UK. A lot of people have not been able to vote in the recent presidential elections due to the lack of ballot papers.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.

The UK Government isn't responsible for the provision of voting ballots in overseas elections. You could raise your concerns with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
