Establish a Government scheme to recognise people with hidden disabilities

What the petition asks
I want the Government to create an official scheme for recognising people with hidden disabilities and providing them with documentation that enables them to prove they are disabled.
This could replace the current Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme that is widely used by people with hidden disabilities.
Sunflower lanyards have become a symbol of hidden disabilities and are recognised in many settings. They are really useful and serve a good purpose. As the mother of an autistic child I would endorse them. However, they are widely available and can be bought by anyone for a couple of pounds. This has left them open to misuse which is detrimental to their purpose. I would like the Government to establish an official scheme where documentation is issued to those diagnosed with a hidden disability.
