Petition · past parliament

We would like a National Day of Prayer to be called against Covid-19.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Request Her Majesty the Queen calls the Nation to a National Day of Prayer against the current pandemic.
On 23rd May 1940, King George VI called for a National Day of Prayer when the British troops were trapped at Dunkirk and God intervened for them in a miraculous way.
We request that the Queen ask the 'normal man in the street' to pray to God and ask for his deliverance from this terrible virus.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This would be a matter for religious institutions, not the UK Government or Parliament.
