Ban petrol leaf blowers to improve public health and the environment

What the petition asks
The Government should ban the sale and use of petrol leaf blowers, to stop all councils, public services and private individuals from using these, in order to reduce noise, carbon, air pollution and damage to soil.
Noise emissions, pollution and harm to soil life and inefficiency are the main reasons to stop using petrol leaf blowers and leaf blowers in general.
Petrol leaf blowers can be dangerously noisy, with those using them or nearby at risk of developing hearing problems. Leaf blowers can also be fatal to insect life which is vital for soil health, and release carcinogens and dust into the air.
