Fund local authority provision of baby and toddler centres in every community

What the petition asks
Provide ring-fenced funds to all local authorities for locally appropriate versions of nationally planned baby and toddler's centres, where multidisciplinary practitioners can work and train together to meet the needs of all children from birth to three, and their parents.
This age group, rarely prioritised, is the foundation for children’s development. Unmet needs - especially in children born into disadvantage significantly impact their life-chances and escalate later societal costs, potentially leading to poverty and developmental deprivation, now intensified by Covid-19
Local baby and toddler centres could provide practical action to repair damage already done and seize the opportunity to build back better for our youngest children and their families.
