Petition · past parliament

Companies offering services to UK citizens must have human customer services.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

To force companies like Facebook, Google, Twitter etc to have humans as customer support with no more AI. If they don't comply then they are not allowed to offer services to our country.
Most large companies only use AI to deal with problems such as Facebook who doesn't have any way of contacting them with issues (unless you have an account and ask for help, which they still ignore).

Many companies have a phone system or tell you to use an online service, this doesn't help with those who need a quick response (such as small businesses) or don't have internet access (like many older generations).

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

How a private business delivers its customer services is a matter for it, not the UK Government or Parliament. Customers are equally within their rights to decide whether to use the services of a particular company based on how it provides customer service.
