What the petition asks
In conjunction with the Leasholder Petition to stop leaseholders paying to remidy cladding issues there is a wider issues regarding the 24 hour waking watch costs associated with the cladding issues many costs are escalating out of control making some homeowners banktrupt. This needs to be addressed
The costs surrounding the cladding is causing real issues for other homeowners NOW. The cost for 24 hour waking watch is part of the cladding scandle put upon homeowners by the building industry using inferior materials. It means many people will lose their properties through financial ruin. This affects over 100,000 properties under 18m and around 1million home owners. The cost of short term financial aid would be better than the long term housing support for people made homless from this issue
