What the petition asks
Reinstate Funding for LGBT Anti - Bullying Projects in Schools
Since 2014, the Government has spent approx £4m on several well received projects targeting Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic bullying.
In spite of the success of these projects and the Government’s pledge to continue backing them, they have stopped any financial support.
It is vital that these programmes continue to run; to promote acceptance and inclusion and to ensure that the mental health and wellbeing of young LGBTQ+ people does not suffer due to lack of education around HBT bullying.
