What the petition asks
The NHS identify that pregnant women are at a higher risk of getting seriously ill from Covid 19.
The lack of data means we do not know how safe it is giving the vaccine to pregnant women.

Instead, allow women who are trying for a baby to be prioritised for the Covid vaccine, so they can be vaccinated before getting pregnant.
Women trying for a baby are unlikely to meet the criteria for vaccine prioritisation even though pregnant women are a higher risk group for Covid 19.
Women trying for a baby should therefore be given priority to be vaccinated - over other under 50 year olds, except for key workers and the clinically vulnerable - ahead of getting pregnant to help mitigate the risk to their subsequent pregnancy.
