What the petition asks
To introduce a new bank holiday to recognise how communities in the UK have come together in unity to support each other and to recognise the huge sacrifices made by all to fight Covid. To call it 'Unity Day' and celebrate all that brings us together and not what kept us apart
Covid has touched the lives of almost every person in the UK. Sacrifices have been made from people from all walks of life.
Let's celebrate the efforts of;
- NHS Hero's
- Front line workers
- The vulnerable
- Pensioners
- Students
- Families
- People that live alone
- Business Owners
- Self Employed
- The Hospitality Industry
- Furloughed workers
- Workers covering absences
- Workers losing income
- And many, many more
Let's recognise what brings us together and not what kept us apart
