What the petition asks

Retail staff have worked so hard through this pandemic, with abuse chucked at them at every opportunity during these hard times.
We want to give them an opportunity to spend more time with their families, and have an amazing Christmas after such a terrible year.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a decision for individual employers.
