What the petition asks
Cannabis is an extremely commonly used substance throughout the country and the restrictions in place isn't deterring people from all classes and backgrounds. If small and large businesses produce this, it will cut crime and the taxes can he used help reduce the impact of covid on our economy.
This takes away power from organised gangs, the product will be safer to use if regulated. Police can use their resources a lot better for more serious issues like violent crime thus cutting costs. This will save the judicial system time and money. And if we have a system in place like in Colorado this will create a lot of revenue for our country and also a sector of small businesses. The revenue from those who distribute can be used on the nhs, schools, under developed areas & public sector.
