MP’s to all take pay cut and freeze their pay in line with public sector workers
Rejected

What the petition asks
All MP’s to take a pay cut back down to what it was previously at the start of the year. And also include MP’s in the public sector ‘pay freeze’. If anyone deserves a pay rise this year it is public sector workers.
The recent MP’s pay rise was amidst the coronavirus pandemic when it really wasn’t the right time to spend extra on MP wages and they also didn’t deserve it. They need to look at what they are spending and allowing an extra £2,000,000 to be spent in wages across 650 MP’s is disgusting if they are now going to bring in a ‘pay freeze’ for public sector workers. I think MP’s need to be brought back down to earth on what is viable considering the current climate and issues. Make yourselves equal.
