Make farmers clean mud from their vehicles when driving on public roads.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

There are many road accidents each year caused by farmers leaving excessive amounts of mud and debris on public roads, I would like the Government or Parliament to impose fines when they leave roads a mess after coming off their land.
Having had experience of poor driving conditions caused by farmers leaving mud and other debris on the road and some of my motorcycle friends being thrown from their bikes causing bodily damage and damage to their property, I move for farmers to be fined high penalties if they leave debris on UK roads and don't clean down their vehicles before using them on UK public roads.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. This is already a legal requirement:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
