Wind turbine blades - when painted black can reduce harm to birds.

What the petition asks
This Autumn a juvenile osprey was killed after a collision with a turbine in North Wales. Research suggests that painting one or more blade black can reduce the risk. Bat species are also vulnerable to turbines.
Bird and bat species are in freefall decline and there is an opportunity here to help save some of them. Wind power is a sustainable option and more turbines are likely to be erected. The painting of the blades is a simple solution towards the protection of bird species.
