Petition · past parliament

A full audit of covid relief fund spending by devolved governments.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The SNP in Scotland has openly admitted it diverted funds ring-fenced for hospitality, and has kept back £150m of other business relief.

The National Audit Office should investigate where this, and other funding, has disappeared to.
Businesses in the devolved regions shouldn't have to suffer because of funds diverted from tax payers to independence causes on the whim of nationalists

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The National Audit Office audits central Government departments, government agencies and non-departmental public bodies. Audit Scotland is responsible for audit of the public sector in Scotland. You can find out more here: https://www.audit-scotland.gov.uk/.

You could start a petition calling on the Government to review the terms under which future Coronavirus relief funding is made available to the devolved Governments, if that is something you'd like to happen.
