What the petition asks

Further research and funding needs to go into studying this disease as it ruins so many people’s lives, however they suffer in silence. The Health ministry would need to dedicate specific research towards it and work towards further understanding and solving the issues caused by this disease.

Many people brush off RLS due to its name, Restless Legs; it sounds petty. A few tests are run and then a ton of medication is required just to control it. I am personally on four different types of painkillers and I’m only 32. It’s a disease that causes so much discomfort, pain, suffering and eventually mental health issues. Not much is done about it from a medical standpoint and that needs to change; it’s needs to be recognised for the horrifying disease that it is and more research is needed.
