Replace the tv licence fee with an NHS support fee

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

I request that the TV licence be abolished, it is extremely out dated and no longer necessary. "When television broadcasts in the UK were resumed after a break due to the Second World War, it was decided to introduce a television licence fee in order to fund the service" WW2 ended 75 years ago.
I want the government to abolish the tv licence fee consisting of £157.50 , and instead pay the same money directly into the NHS to help fund an increase in staff, technology and training.
The tv licence fee was introduced post ww2 to help fund the service, this is extremely outdated and no longer necessary.
