What the petition asks

On Thursday 26th November 2020, the government imposed the highest tier of restrictions throughout the North East for December 2020. Infection cases show a significant decrease throughout the UK over the past two weeks. North East be reclassified as a Tier 2 restriction area from 2nd December 2020.

Lockdown has been a negative impact on most, if not all of the UK. Many people have suffered from mental health issues following restrictions. Restricting the rights for families to meet over the Christmas period could further impact the mental health of 1000's of citizens. Businesses will further suffer from lack of support and more jobs will be lost of the holiday period.
