CSA should be calculated on the pay parents net pay, NOT on their gross pay

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The child maintenance service/CSA to be paid; should be calculated on the paying parent’s NET pay, and not be calculated on their GROSS pay. Put a stop to this, calculate it fairly for the paying parent. Many paying parents feel dread and anxiety every pay day.
Currently, CSA is calculated on a percentage of gross pay of the paying parent which is before all taxes, pension and any other deductions the parent may have. This then leaves the parent with very little income to provide a nice home for their child/children when they come to stay, to have money to spend on their child/children when they see them, and to upkeep transport to see/collect their children. Calculated on a percent you’d gross pay puts a lot of strain on bills, and causing debt.
