Award Dr Ian Roberts with a George Medal for his actions at the 2020 Bahrain GP

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Dr Ian Roberts risked his life by stepping into the flames of a burning F1 car at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix in order to provide Romain Grosjean with urgent medical care after his horrific crash at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix. Many people believe these actions are worthy of the George Medal
This was a very brave and selfless act, committed only in the interests of someone else.

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We can't accept petitions calling for honours for specific individuals, including giving them a medal.
