RE-OPEN YOUTH CLUBS AND COMMUNITY CENTRES IN THE UK.

What the petition asks
We want you to invest in youth clubs, resources and community centres in every Borough in the UK.
We are losing our youth to gangs, violence and grime culture,
We have lost 250 youths in 2019 and 256 in 2020 to knife crime.
1 young person lost is too much.
Every life is precious and deserve a real chance at life and all life has to offer them.
We as a country have lost the interests of our young people and they are turning away from the positive attraction of life,
We are all victims of society and of a government that can do a lot more for its society.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Public buildings, including community centres, can remain open in all areas: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-restriction-tiers-what-you-need-to-know
Deciding whether and how to reopen centres that have been closed is a matter for individual local authorities, not the Government or House of Commons. We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide additional funding for community centres and youth clubs due to Covid-19, to ensure they are able to reopen, if that is what you want to happen.
