Schools break up early, allowing 2 week isolation before Christmas socialising
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
Allow schools to finish early in December 2020. This will allow children to isolate for 2 weeks before mixing with vulnerable family members.
This will keep family members safer when mixing at Christmas. It will help slow the spread of COVID, and stop a bigger spike after Christmas. If children (who often don’t show symptoms), can finish the school term 2 weeks before we are allowed to bubble in houses of 3.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Implement a two week school lockdown before 24 December to save Christmas
