What the petition asks
Explore options, and/or work with the French Government, to protect/save international rail travel.
We're asking you to consider exploring support options along with the French government to protect international rail travel, in a similar way to that given to the UK's rail and Airline companies.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Eurostar International are in a dire financial situation, which could risk the future of international rail travel. Services are been cut to the minimum of one per day, staff have been made redundant, stations have been closed etc. The possibility of the end of high speed international travel now seems very real.
Eurostar, for example, offer a unique alternative to international travel, which creates thousands of jobs and is better for the environment. HS1 is due to become the first UK railway to be powered by renewable energy, there is a great future for Eurostar, for all of us, if Eurostar International and international rail travel in general can survive this. Thank you.
