What the petition asks

Pass legislation that ensures that everyone in the future who wishes to work in care and medical professions receives any vaccinations that are necessary and become available to protect patients and those they are caring for. People should not be put at risk by those caring for them.

The reality has been care home residents have been placed under virtual house arrest since March and starved of any human contact with family. Care staff have been prioritised to help keep residents alive, they should either support the residents by getting vaccinated or no longer work in these roles. Residents mental health has not been balanced against the risk of covid. To conclude - care home residents are at risk if their carers will not be vaccinated.
