Amend Prime Ministers Questions to PM Answers
Rejected
13 signatures
What the petition asks
The concept of Prime Minister Questions is currently missed by the incumbant we need to encourage answers, with no direction from the current speaker(s) this needs to be reitterated.
No question to the Prime Minister should be deflected back to the Mp posing the question, remain unanswered or utilised by the Prime Minister as a tool to belittle the questioner.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament as a whole aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Order in the Commons is the responsibility of the Speaker personally, and the Prime Minister is responsible for answers to questions.
In any case, the formal title of the business in the House of Commons is 'Oral Questions to the Prime Minister' which makes clear that they are questions for answer by the Prime Minister.
