What the petition asks
Recently a non-government bill on ‘sexual exploitation’ was presented to Parliament by an MP. This bill would criminalise the purchase of sex.
This would affect more than 70,000 sex workers in the UK.
This model, known as the Nordic Model, could push sex workers underground, putting them into more vulnerable and harmful situations. This model has damaged the rights of sex workers across the world and should not be adopted in the UK.
